Kurveintegral, er dette utenfor "pensum" i 3Mx?

I dag kom jeg borti følgende integral:
[tex]\frac12 \int_0^{2 \pi} |cos 4 \theta | ^2 d \theta[/tex]
Og her er min utregning:
[tex]\frac12 \int_0^{2 \pi} |cos 4 \theta | ^2 d \theta = \frac12 \int_0^{2 \pi} cos^2 4 \theta d \theta[/tex]
Nå bruker jeg at:
[tex]cos 2x = 1 + cos^2 x[/tex]
Som skrives om til:
[tex]cos^2 x = \frac12 + \frac12 cos 2x[/tex]
setter [tex]x = 4 \theta[/tex] og får:
[tex]cos^2 4 \theta = \frac12 + \frac12 cos 8 \theta[/tex]
Og dette uttrykket bytter jeg ut integranden med:
[tex]\frac12 \int_0^{2 \pi} |cos 4 \theta | ^2 d \theta = \frac12 \int_0^{2 \pi} \left(\frac12 + \frac12 cos 8 \theta \right) d \theta = \frac14 \int_0^{2 \pi} \left(1 + cos 8 \theta \right) d \theta = \frac14 [\theta + \frac18 sin 8 \theta ]_0^{2\pi} = \frac 14 \left(2\pi + \frac18 sin 16\pi - (0 + \frac18 sin 0) \right) = \underline{\underline{\frac{\pi}{2}}}[/tex]
[tex]\frac12 \int_0^{2 \pi} |cos 4 \theta | ^2 d \theta[/tex]
