The cylinders z = x[sup]2[/sup] and z = 4y[sup]2[/sup] intersect in two curves, on of which passes through the point (2,-1,44)- Find a paramterisation of that curve using t=y as parameter. Hjelp!

Skal ikke punktet være (2,-1,4)?
Jo, det skal det. Og jeg fikk det faktisk til selv!
Nå sliter jeg dog med å parametrisere "the curve of intersection" av x[sup]2[/sup] + y[sup]2[/sup] = 9 og z = x + y

Vha. av polare koordinater får vi at x[sup]2[/sup] + y[sup]2[/sup] = 9 kan uttrykkes som
x = 3cost & y = 3sint.
Dermed blir
z = x + y = 3(cost + sint) = 3[rot][/rot]2 cos[t - ([pi][/pi]/4)].
x = 3cost & y = 3sint.
Dermed blir
z = x + y = 3(cost + sint) = 3[rot][/rot]2 cos[t - ([pi][/pi]/4)].
Hm, på denne sier fasiten "a parabola in the plane z= 1+x having vertex at (-1/2, 0, 1/2) and axis along the line z=1+x, y=0." Hvordan gå frem for å få det?
