oppgave 1)
A car moving at 41 km/h negotiates a 140 m-radius banked turn designed for 60 km/h. What coefficient of friction is needed to keep the car on the road?

oppgave 2)
You're in a traffic court, arguing against a speeding citation. You entered a 230m-radius banked turn designed for 76km/h which is also the speed limit. The road is icy but you stay in your lane, so you argue you must have been going the speed limit. Police say the frictional coefficient mu=0.2 between the tires and the road. Is it possible you were speeding and if so by how much?
