Bruk at [tex]\cos(2t)=cos^2(t)-\sin^2(t)[/tex]
og at [tex]\sin^2(t)+\cos^2(t)=1 \Rightarrow sin^2(t)=1-cos^2(t)[/tex]
Da vil [tex]\cos(2t)=2\cdot \cos^2(t)-1[/tex]
Klarer du det fra her?

Du vet at [tex]x=\cos(t)[/tex] følgelig blir [tex]y=2\cdot x^2-1[/tex] ved omskrivingen jeg gjorde tidligere.
