When n=2 and n=3, equation (cosv + i*sinv)[sup]n[/sup] = cosnv + i*sinnv, gives:
(cosv + i*sinv)[sup]2[/sup] = cos2v + i*sin2v
(cosv + i*sinv)[sup]3[/sup] = cos3v + i*sin3v
Use these two equations to obtain trigonometric identities for cos2v, sin2v, cos3v and sin3v.
