Har slitt med denne oppgaven en stund nå:
Når atomkjernen (235/92)U blir spaltet, blir det frigjort 32*10^-12j. Hvor mye energi blir frigjort når 1g 235/92U blir spaltet?
Har hatt noen lignende oppgaver der 1g var byttet ut med 1kg. Der tok jeg 1/(massen til atomet) og så gange svaret med frigjort energi. Derfor prøvde jeg her å ta (1*10^-3)/(m av atom) og igjen gange svaret med frigjort energi(i dette tilfellet 32 Pj). Hvorfor fungerer ikke dette, og hva er evt. en bedre måte å gjøre det på?

Du må finne ut hvor mange atom Uran-235 det er i ett gram Uran-235. Deretter ganger du det med den frigjorte energien. Om du har ett fysikkhefte vil du finne massen til ulike isotoper. Massen til Uran er 235,0439299 u, der u er atommasseenheten.
Hvordan blir fremgangsmåten på dette? Trodde det var det jeg skulle komme fram til med det jeg prøvde på. Hva er forresten forskjellen på nuklidemassen og masse per nukleon, sånn rent praktisk? Hvordan vet jeg hvilken jeg bør velge?

Nuklidemassen er massen til atomkjernen. Masse per nukleon kan man si er den gjennomsnittlige vekten til nuklidene i kjernen. Siden nøytron og proton har forskjellig vekt, vil to isotoper av samme grunnstoff ha ulik masse per nukleon.

$m = 1*10^{-3} kg$
$m_{U^{235}} = 235,0439299 u$
$u = 1,66 * 10^{-27} kg$
$FE= 32 * 10^{-12} J$
$E_T = \frac {m}{m_{U^{235}}} * FE =\frac {1 * 10^{-3} kg}{235,0439299 * 1,66 * 10^{-27} kg} * 32*10^{-12} J = 1,4 * 10^{-16} J$
